Abstract On this research at master's degree, we will study Machado de Assis' references stated to Greek-roman culture at Papéis Avulsos tales. From that point on, we will try to interpret the transposition and decode it's contribution. Therefore, we will use as a basis theory the studies made by Mikhail Bakhtin, Julia Kristeva, about transposition and yet the Laurent Jenny text, which added important data to Kristeva's studies. We will take the phenomenology-hermeneutic methodology, as it's about the critical interpretative analysis proposal, once we will try to check the importance and the functions references to the development of the sense on Machado's short narratives, both at structural level or at content level. We will yet confirm whether these references complete or not the text, tying thoughts and statements, contributing to irony's construction. The research questions we will establish arte the following ones: how docs the transposition take place on Machado's speech on each short narrative that's par of Papéis Avulsos and classical culture (parody? allusion? stylization?)? What's the contribution to the sense of the text (irony? infringement? minimization?)?There are a ready studies about the Italian, French and English presence on some writher, however the references to the classical culture haven't been clarified cleared yet, therefore, we think this paper will be of great valve to literary studies especially to Machado's studies. | |
