Abstract

The present work has as objective to evaluate the susceptibility the shallow landslides in Ultrafértil basin, located in the Serra do Mar, São Paulo. The study it has broken of the application of mathematical models in the simulation of susceptibility areas the landslides, having resulted susceptibility maps that will be correlated later with the map of scars, aiming at the validation of the results gotten for such simulations. The methods to be used, as well as, the materials had been divided in three stages: 1) space characterization of the landslides from air photographs of 1985; 2) evaluation of the main topographical condicionantes factors; 3) evaluation of the distribution of the landlslides in environment SIG, by means of application of mathematical models. The models previously chosen for the susceptibility analysis had been SMORPH (Slope Morphology Model) and SINMAP (Stability Index Mapping), being these evaluated how much to the performance and waited results, a time that today exist other models. Therefore, the result of the evaluation the susceptibility the shallow landslides in Serra do Mar a will be able to subsidize the regional planning of the Industrial Polar region of Cubatão, being directed politician-administrative and ambient actions, in view of minimizing the partner-ambient impact of future events.
