Abstract

Summary:The project will evaluate the inclusion of bran sunflower in food restriction programme for swine slaughtered with qualitative 130kg. For both, two trial will be conducted. First to determine the digestible energy, digestibility coefficients and nutrients and of bran sunflower, using the method of feces collection partial. Be used 16 swine castrated high genetic potential, with approximately 80 kg. The animals will be divided into two groups: one group will receive reference diet consists corn and soy bran. Other group will receive diet composed by 70% of the diet reference and 30 % of the ingredient. The results of first trial will let to formulate diets of the second experiment, which will evaluate the effects of the inclusion of different levels (0, 7, 14, 21 and 28%) of bran sunflower on performance, days required to achieve 130kg, diets digestibility, carcases characteristics, meat quality, serum parameters, organs weights of the digestive system, feces production and characteristics and economic evaluation. Be used 54 swine castrated high genetic potential, with a starting weight of approximately 80kg, distributed according to design randomized blocks, with five treatments (in accordance with inclusion levels of bran sunflower) and nine replicates, being the experimental unit one animal. Nine animals receive only diet control and will be slaughtered when they achieve 100kg. The remaining 45 will be slaughtered when those who will consume the diet control achieve 130kg. The data will be subjected to analysis of variance, using the procedure SAS GLM statistical programme (1998), and the data observed in experiment 2, shall be evaluated multiple linear regressions until the third degree.
