Abstract

This research project proposes an analytical and interpretative study of the design process that led to the building of Helio Olga's house, as a consequence of the collaboration between the architect Marcos Acayaba and the engineer Helio Olga Jr. This case, besides allowing the recognition of specific characteristics of the dynamics of this particular design process, its role of representations, and interactions between the different agents involved, will also support the elaboration of critical reviews on the understanding of architectural design process and its materialization. The research will face the design process history factual reconstruction - organizing a chronology of documents - and the study of the representation means used at each stage of this process. Based on the organization and interpretation of original files and documents, duly duplicated and scanned, a "reflexive facture" will be done, as an analysis involving the production of drawings, images and comparative, analytical and interpretative models.
