Abstract

In despite of the great ecological importance, the number of known species of microorganisms that are described in the literature, represents only a small fraction of the microbial diversity found in nature. This way, the search for new microorganisms together with the use of waste as culture medium and the suitable definition of enzymatic properties for industrial application studies are important economically. Lipases are enzymes that have received great attention in recent years, mainly due to its wide application in industry and environment. It is used as an environmental alternative, as biocatalysts in the synthesis reaction of biodiesel which does not generate toxic waste material, as well as its use in pre-treatment of greasy waste. Thus, this research comes against the thematic project approved by the CNPq-Call 47 - Process: 563260/2010-6 partnership FAPESP No. 2010/52322-3 entitled "Biopropecção of filamentous fungi producing holoenzyme with application in biorefinery" under coordination of Dr. Polizeli, and aims the selection of a microorganism good lipase producer with a potential capacity of transesterification; the enzyme purification and immobilization in different supports; the lipase biochemical characterization and its application in both treatment industrial and domestic waste, as in biodiesel.
