Abstract

This research aims to analyze some of the documentaries Rogério Sganzerla, one of the great filmmakers and critics of brazilian cinema, which was based on an invention cinema, crystallized in the search and renewal of audiovisual language, marking their passage with movies vital in brazilian cinematography. Thus the director followed the course Brazilian national cinema history with certain specificities, those whose will be important for the composite of this research. The delimitation and analysis methodology will be specifically about the incursion of the filmmaker documentary field, films whose narrative axis when Orson Welles went to Brazil in 40s. With this we will analyze their motivations and from the creative processes employed by the director, bring stylistic aspects of his cinematography. Sganzerla introduces the film production our century, so in a pragmatic and archeological sense of our research, the films proposed to analysis, will lead us to understand contemporary aspects of audiovisual production.
