Abstract

This research project intends to continue the dissertation (Giraldi, 2010), to monitor the process of education of students who were subjects of the study referenced. In this way, the objective of this work is to check the continuity of schooling for students who had at some point, high performance, medium and low, and examine the possibility of changes occur and / or stability in conceptions and expectations of teachers, family and students on school performance of these. For this, there will be a qualitative work, with grounding in Bronfenbrenner (1996), as well as in other studies to support the research. As data collection instrument was proposed to conduct interviews with students who had high, medium and low school performance, with a family member responsible for each of them and with teachers. These interviews will be held over the two years and occur at different times. In addition, documents and materials of the school, such as assessments, transcripts, notes, projects will be developed will be further analyzed and an effective monitoring of school board meetings for teachers to close the quarter, as well as observations of day-to-day school, which will be recorded in a field diary. Expected to move forward with this research, the ramifications of the subject and their academic performance during the categorization process of schooling, is thought to work were not identified to examine the continuity and stability in their school changes during the elementary school.Key Words: school performance; conceptions and expectations; Continuity school.
