Abstract

This project consists on the synthesis and structural characterization by both experimental and molecular modeling of new complexes based on Au(III), Au(I), Re(V), Re(I), Tc(V) and Tc(I) as metal centers, with bioactive ligands of thiosemicarbazone type, and co-ligands of phosphine, halides and carbonyl types, in the interest of obtaining new agents for studies of activities against tuberculosis, Chagas disease, tumors resistant to cisplatin and, in special, for radiopharmaceutical models with uses in diagnostic or therapy. Furthermore, for those complexes with stability and with appropriate functional groups it's intended to make coupling reactions to biomolecules, in accord to the bioconjugate strategy, with the objective of getting molecules with specific biological target.
