Abstract

This project aims the use of capillary electrophoresis with contactless conductivity detection for quantification and obtaining some physicochemical parameters of compounds with high rate of hydrolysis: peroxycarbonate, peroxyacids, and monoethyl pyrocarbonate. Physicochemical parameters such as kinetic and equilibrium constants, ion mobility, hydrodynamic radius, diffusion coefficient have been obtained successfully, by our group, via capillary electrophoresis for the monoalkyl carbonates, whose hydrolysis is also accentuated.Finally, we intend to perform parallel studies by 13C NMR for the equilibrium and kinetics constants. The results of these experiments by 13C NMR will be used for a comparison with the values of the constants found by capillary electrophoresis in order to evaluate our approach to obtain the constants using the technique of capillary electrophoresis as a kind of microreactor.
