Abstract

The objective of this research is focused on the observation of the meteoric impact, in a time frame of January 2001 to December 2010, and one of the main products of its attacks to urban integrity: Damage to material property and residencies of residents from marked risk for housing localities at the city of São Paulo. This objective in proposed for the analysis of the rain in its occurrence as an extreme weather event, and when it produces the refered damage while it relates to the socio spatial segregation at neighborhoods of MBoi Mirim and Freguesia do Ó, whose, second to indicators of competent secretaries of São Paulo city, are in alarming situations of risk, although with different conditions of social vulnerability.
