Abstract

Homophobia is a phenomenon that is growing in Brazil and even damaging the school history of LGBT students. Homophobia means prejudice and discrimination suffered by persons considered homosexual. The objective of this research is to analyze the teacher's look on the homophobic demonstrations by the Occurrence Book of School Education Elementary and Secondary Public Schools in the Municipality of Presidente Prudente-SP. The research will investigate the records of the 2010 school year and the frequency of occurrences of homophobia, as they are reported by teachers as well as visions implicit in his narrative. The relevance is justified by the need to investigate the look of teachers on the subject, since they are the mediators of social relations within the classroom. The research will develop from an analysis of relevant literature on the subject and the official documentation, with a focus on narratives within the methodological conceptions in Oral History.
