Abstract

The red root rot of soybean (PRV), caused by the Fusarium tucumaniae, is among the 40 diseases described by several authors as a factor limiting the productivity of soybeans in Brazil. The main way to control the PVR is the use of resistant cultivars, but no data that show the strength of resistant cultivars in Brazil. Aiming to provide some information related to the resistance of soybean varieties to that pathogen, this project aims to evaluate the reaction of 20 soybean cultivars listed on the National Register of Cultivars RNC / MAP tucumaniae to Fusarium. Will contain the cultivars FT-Crystalline and CAC-1 as a standard of susceptibility and resistance to PVR, respectively. The study of the reaction of cultivars will be held in two seasons, Spring/Summer and Autumn / Winter in laboratory conditions (tray) and a greenhouse using two methods of inoculation, "toothpick" and grain sorghum colonized with the pathogen.(AU)
