Abstract

The aim of this work will be to study the effects of adding four levels of mannanoligosaccharide in nile tilapia diet for 45 days, on the intestinal microflora and morphology of intestinal villi and crypts. Will be used 600 juvenile nile tilapia weighting between 30 to 50 g were randomly distributed in 30 aquariums with the capacity of 310 liters (5 treatments, 3 reps, 20 fish/aquarium), with aeration and constant water. During the experiment fish will be feed with five experimental feeds, with 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 e 1.0%, and one feed free from immunostimulant (0). Feed will be offer twice a day (time 0, 7, 15, 30 and 45 days after feeding), fish will be sampled to characterize the gut microbiology and histology (morphometry of intestinal crypts and villi) and growth (growth and weight gain).
