Abstract

The methods of detection and monitoring of hepatotoxic cyclic peptides (microcystins and nodularins) remains a challenge for researchers because it was not yet developed a sufficiently powerful and unique method of detection of cyanotoxins and especially the microcystins. Although all methods developed up to now there is not a method for detecting directly cyanotoxins in biological matrices they are complex and wherein the concentration of toxins is generally low, of the order of ng / ml, making the analysis. There is therefore a need to develop an efficient, straightforward, fast, high sensitivity and precision for the identification of microcystin and other cyanotoxins present in blooms. In this contest, one of the goals of this project is the development of fast and sensible methods of characterization and identification of microcystin directly in biological matrix, which are complexes and where the concentration of these toxins is very low ng/mL, and also in water reservoir.
