Abstract This PHD project intends to undertake research in the manufacturing of natural rubber micro-devices for analysis in real time, called lab-on-a-ship, prepared from Hevea brasiliensis latex (clone RRIM 600), by casting technique and applied for evaluation of fluids, injected by using a peristaltic pump, ranging from the matrix preparation to the construction of optical sensors inside the optical window and finally the optimization of the device in order to generate the emissions data through micro-circuits connected to the internal sensors. The choice of materials was based on the mechanical properties, high flexibility, which facilitates the sustainability of the device, also biocompatible properties of natural rubber membranes, currently widely tested in biomedicine, favoring the application of devices such as biological sensors. | |
