Abstract

This project aims to investigate, describe and analyze the impact of contemporary information and communication technologies on the forms of communication and action in mise en scène that uses the digital as a technological interface. Analyzing the main lines of theory of social and communicative action, our study considers that the digital technologies seem to change the linear and front communication action, which is a feature of the traditional media, creating new processes, characterized by horizontally organized network communications.Inspired by the theoretical analysis of the changes on communicative processes and on the nature of the social action, the research intends to investigate their main effects on digital mise en scène, addressing on the probable consequences of these new communication events for the arts and, on the edge, for the relation artist/spectator. Ultimately, we aim to analyze how the digital communication would be changing the very form of acting on the contemporaneity.Therefore, this project will fundamentally study the artistic production of scenic experimentation groups that are known by using digital technologies networks in their mise en scène, in order to analyze and to describe these applications from the perspectives of technique, aesthetics and content.
