Abstract Tautomycetin (TTN) is natural polyketide isolated in 1989 from Streptomyces griseochromogenes. TTN is more seletive inhibitor of PP1 (serine/threonine phosphatase) known until now and it is a potent protein tyrosine phosphatase-2 (SHP2) inhibitor. The phosphatases protein have been investigated as a new strategy for cancer therapy. This project aim to develop a convergent synthetic route which we shall obtain significant amount of TTN in order to investigated its biologic activity, as well as, allow us to achieve simpler analogos planned in rational way.
