Abstract

The PhD research "Interactive objects: the design process as complex systems" began in March, 2010 and is funded by FAPESP since February, 2011. Its main purpose comprehends the design process of interactive objects from Complex Systems theories. In the initial research project sent to FAPESP, we planned steps for research abroad in order to follow the design process of interactive objects in several research centers. Thus, the main purpose of this research internship abroad is to understand and analyses aspects in the design process of interactive objects in research centers that have significant production in this area. The aspects that will be investigated are, for instance: project team organization, how team members communicate with themselves, software used for communication and also for objects creation and fabrication, methods of systematization and organization, infrastructure of physical places, required devices, among others.
