Abstract

Primary prevention aims to identify, remove or reduce the incidence of risk factors that produce conditions of adversity. These conditions became the Special Education required, once the research on strategies that can minimize or prevent the impact and occurrence of environmental events for the normal development of the child. It is essential to the prevention of possible deficiencies. From the premise that the family is the one to acquire a central role in early intervention programs, not only in the supporting role, this study has a primary prevention of family violence. In order to develop, implement and evaluate a training course for expectant parents in the Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF), aimed at sensitizing them to issues of child development and family violence against children and adolescents. Will be recruited 20 pregnant couples for a ESF, which will be separated into two groups. It is intended to evaluate the training through the application of instruments CAPI (Child Abuse Potential Inventory) and KIDI (Knowledge of Infant Development Inventory) with the participants of the experimental group (EG) and Control Group (CG). The training will be presented to the couples of GE at first, however the application of the instruments will be performed concurrently to the two groups. After three months of completion of training with GE, the instruments will be reapplied to both groups, as a follow-up and at that moment; the training will be given to the parents of the GC, for ethical procedures.
