Abstract

This project proposes to conduct a study approaching the concepts of organizational entrepreneurial orientation and mobility. The entrepreneurial orientation (EO) portrays entrepreneurship at the organizational level, characterized by five dimensions: innovativeness, risk-taking, reactiveness, autonomy, and competitive aggressiveness. The literature suggests that organizations with higher EO tend to perform better. However, the entrepreneurial orientation can be influenced by several factors, including environment variables, structure, strategy, and personality of the leader, which can vary from one type of organization to another. Thus, changes can affect organizational entrepreneurship. One change that has caused the greatest impact on organizations in recent years has been the advances in information technology, especially with the advent of the Internet and, more recently, with the growing use of mobile technology. In this context, subject mobility is a resource afforded by mobile technologies that have affected the way of working and managing organizations, which might have an effect on organizational entrepreneurship. Thus, the research question of this project is: how the adoption and use of mobile technologies can affect the entrepreneurial orientation of the organization? The aim of this study is to analyze how the adoption and use of Mobile Information Technologies (MIT) have an effect on the Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) of the organization. The research will be developed through a case study in a user organization of MIT. As a result, it is expected to point out the effects of using mobile technologies in the organization studied and their impacts on innovativeness, risk-taking, reactiveness, autonomy, and competitive aggressiveness.(AU)
