Abstract The childhood medicalization process is characterized to reduce social questions to a single knowledge and area: the medicine. The purpose of this reserch is connect the subjectivation process of childhood to disciplinary society and society of control focusing the topic of Child Mental Health especially from the classification manual of mental disordes emphasizing the medicalization and patologization processes of childhood behaviors and discuss the banalization of the diagnostics to childhood and thinking how the philosophy of Deleuze/Guattarri and Foucault may contribute to understanding about these pathological phenomena. Today, the children that escapes to pattern stated by medicine and school are captured by psychiatric medical knowledge, with the influence of statistical classifications, and they are considered diseased. There is no question that these children suffer and express a conflict that is being silenced and untreated, and instead of considering a collective problem, this is treated as an individual problem. The problematic nature of contemporary subjectivity is not seen as "an expression of time and the body", but as a disease to be controlled by medication that tames the child and brings it closer to the midpoint standard. Therefore, in the disciplinary society and in the society of control, the child has affected his creative powers, his body should be transformed in a docile body, and if the child is not easily mold to the discipline, becomes a body endangered, susceptible to control by diagnosis that damage their potential. | |
