Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the use and occupation of land in the watershed in the Novo River, using remote sensing techniques and geoprocessamento. The study is based on data obtained by analyzing images from Landsat, ALOS and QuickBird, collect geographical coordinates on topographic maps and GPS equipment for the production of thematic maps in GIS Idrisi Taiga and SPRING. Such maps will support the characterization of the level of human disturbance of the basin, as well as for operation and management of natural resources in the area. In this study will be analyzed further highlighting the permanent preservation areas, as established by Law 12.651/2012.
