Abstract

This study intends to analyze firstly italian idiomatic expressions related to clothing and their equivalents in portuguese in order to determine the cultural issues. Secondly we aim to analyze how the metaphors are produced in the two languages. This study will also enable to highlight the close relationship between language and culture.
