Abstract

This study will evaluate the bond strength brought about by different surface treatments by the use of high power laser ceramics IPS e.max Press (Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein) when attached to Variolink II (Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein), submitted to tensile test. 75 bases are used truncated conical ceramic divided into groups according to each treatment performed in its smaller: G1-control group, receive treatment following the manufacturer's recommendations; G2 will have its surface treated, after graphite coating, laser Er: YAG laser with 200 mJ of energy intensity and frequency of 10Hz application of silane; G3 will have its surface treated with Er: YAG laser with 200 mJ of energy intensity and frequency 10 Hz + silane application, G4-has its surface treated after coating with graphite Nd: YAG laser with 120 mJ of energy intensity and frequency of 15 Hz + application of silane, G5 will have its surface treated with Nd: YAG laser with 120 mJ intensity energy and frequency 15 Hz + silane application. The specimens will be joined by applying a dual resin cement prey (Variolink II, Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein) and then photoactivation will be held for 40 seconds, using the LED curing light (Lime Radii - SDI). In the sequel will be held mechanical cycling with a load of 60N and 1,000 cycles and then the mechanical tests in a universal testing machine EMIC-2000. Data will be submitted to ANOVA, Tukey test (± = 5%) and the Dunnet test. (AU)
