Associated to the scholarship:12/14886-8 - Rooting of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla through the action of hydrogen peroxide and quercetin, BP.MS

Vegetative propagation is the main form of Eucalyptus´s shoots production for several advantages, however some clones still have difficulties in propagation, inclusively in rooting. Auxins are characterized as the main growth regulator able to improve this process. Indirectly, flavonoids and hydrogen peroxide can also contribute for rooting by increasing the activity of endogenous auxin. The objective of this work is to establish relation between rooting and the activity of polyamine oxidase and peroxidase enzymes in Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla. The enzyme activity will be determinated by spectrophotometric methods. Data will be submitted to variance analysis (ANOVA) and means will be compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. Keywords: polyamines, enzymes, peroxidase, biochemical markers. (AU)
