Abstract

The project will be conducted in the laboratory "Physicochimie des Electrolytes, Colloides et Sciences Analytiques "(PECSA) is a joint research unit (UMR 7195) between the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC Univ Paris 6) and l'Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles de Paris (ESPCI ParisTech), Paris-France through the program BEPE - Post Doctorate for a period of 12 months. This project had provided the necessary complement to the work of postdoctoral running entitled " Hybrid Materials containing Mn or Co-doped ZnO nanoparticles for controlled drug release"(FAPESP 2011/19253-0). This stage postdoctoral stage aims to fill the gap related to magnetic characterization of systems studies, giving an important contribution in the development of hybrid devices for controlled release of drugs by studying the magnetic behavior of these systems during drug release. Magnetic properties of doped ZnO nanoparticles with Mn or Co will be investigated (SQUID, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer) as well as relaxivity properties for their use as contrast agents. magnetic hyperthermia properties can be also evaluated according to specific loss power measurement in order to determine if these particles can be used for release drugs.
