This project intends to illustrate the course that will be taken on this research, whose main objectives are: 1) To make a philological study about the editions of the play "Auto da Barca do Inferno", by Gil Vicente, producing, for this purpose, (1.1) the diplomatic reproduction of the 1517 text; (1.2) the comparison between the texts of 1517 and 1562, and (1.3) the classification of the found variants in the terms suggested by Blecua (1983); and, at last, 2) to create a glossary of what will be denominated marginal vocabulary of that play - this glossary will be used to a semantic-lexical diachronical analyses of the chosen entries. Therefore, the selected editions were the texts from the 1517 papers, and from the "Compilação de todas as obras de Gil Vicente", of 1562. The theoric-methodological bases used are the Philological ones, more precisely the Textual Critic ones, the Lexicology and the Lexicography, besides the basic support from other disciplines like the Literary Critic and History, essential for this study as well. This research is inserted in the Project of the Paulista Portuguese History "(PHPP - Projeto Caipira), Projeto Temático/ FAPESP, processo 2011/51787-5". (AU)
