Abstract

This project's main goal is to promote actions for publicizing the Project Archaeology and Scientific Dissemination: Knowledge and Dialogues, coordinated by the laboratories: (LAP) Laboratory of Public Archaeology Paulo Duarte and (Labjor) Laboratory for Advanced Studies in Journalism, both from UNICAMP. The project was approved in the 2012's edict (SAB) Brazilian Society of Archaeology and has a funding from Petrobrás. Through dialogue between Public Archaeology and Science Dissemination, Archeology and Scientific Dissemination: Knowledge and Dialogue promotes the communication of archaeological knowledge. The project's intent is to present to the broad audience the different aspects and practices of archaeological science, in order to stimulate reflection, interaction and understanding of science, and to encourage the knowledge of scientific information generated by archaeologists, providing them with subsidies that facilitate their relations with the mass media. The development of the project will run up through articles and reports for the electronic journal of science journalism ComCiência, and the page of the Laboratory of Public Archaeology Paulo Duarte (http://www.nepam.unicamp.br/arqueologiaedivulgacao/ .
