Abstract

In this project, we present an extensive program of Physics Beyond the Standard Model through a search for TeV-scale resonances in the double heavy bosons channel. We will analyze the data taken by the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, one of the experiments which analyzes the proton-proton collision provided by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) accelerator. The main goal of this project is the analysis of the full dataset collect by the CMS Collaboration before the LHC Long Shutdown 1 (LS1). In order to achieve this goal, we plan on cooperating with an already established group at CMS, the ExoDiboson group, and making use of the SPRACE computing center to maximize the data analysis efficiency. A second goal of this project is to participate on the update and recommissioning of the analyses, as well as in the detector performance studies, during the LHC LS1, envisioning a fast turnaround time upon the data-taking restart in 2014.
