Abstract

The aim of this study is to build an integrative revision on the training/coaching strategies of community health counselors to breastfeeding promotion. Methods: during the first stage, the theme was identified and the research question was selected. The criteria adopted to the inclusion of the articles will be: researches published in the format of an article, nationally and internationally, in Portuguese, English and Spanish; looking into the training of community health assistants to breast-feeding promotion; not depending on the research methods; having titles and summaries available and indexed in the databases. Studies that do not describe the teaching methods previously used, will be excluded. During the third stage, the information to be extracted from the selected studies will be defined and cataloged in bibliographic records. The fourth stage, consists in the evaluation of the studies and the analysis of the bibliographic records. The fifth, will be the discussion and interpretation of results, and finally the elaboration of a report containing the outcome of the evidence at hand. (AU)
