The aim of this "Scientific Initiation" project is to analyze in a quantitative manner the effects caused by ram pressure acting on the cold gas of galaxies moving inside clusters. Effects of this nature impact galaxies and clusters, for example, changing the stellar evolution of cluster galaxies and contributing to the enrichment in metals of the intracluster medium. The study of these effects is of significance for the better understanding of cluster evolution. A numerical approach, involving hydrodynamical N-body simulations, will be used. (AU)
