Abstract

Recent studies have considered the nonlinear analysis as a strategy to assess the quality and complexity of the measures related to postural control. It is known that children with cerebral palsy (CP) have deficits in control of the head, these being associated with not reaching the full trunk control for such children. The objective of the study is to analyze non-linear control head of children with CP under the effect of different media trunk and pelvis. Thus, data from the study will be the same used in previous studies Saavedra et al. (2010). No other studies reported on the nonlinear analysis in head control in adults and children with typical PC. Therefore, an examination will be made initially to surrogação to verify deterministic data structure. Subsequently, the measures will be used nonlinear approximate entropy and Lyapunov exponent to verify level of complexity and stability of the trajectory of head movements and how these measures can be influenced by the level of support trunk. It is expected increases in levels of complexity and stability of the trajectory of displacement of the head in the trunk support conditions in children with CP when compared with the unsupported condition (AU)
