Abstract

The biological characteristics stand out with the aging process, mostly associated with the vulnerability of pathological processes and notes that aspects of fragility integrate people's daily lives. Organizations that serve the elderly population in fragile situations are scarce in Brazil, and some areas have over time been devoted to this care mainly Institutional Comprehensive Care, Home Care at the Health Center Day, the Basic Health Units and Reference Centers for Social Assistance (CRAS). Created by the National Policy for the Elderly, the Council of the Elderly, among its functions conferred and verifies the operation of bodies of elderly care. The Council of the Elderly-CMI at São Carlos city, which will be held this research was implemented in 1998 and is linked to the Municipal Social Welfare and Citizenship. This Council has been devoted in recent years to ensure the rights of the elderly, and has expanded its registry of institutions that care to the elderly in this city. Objective: Identify the organizations care to the elderly with characteristics of fragility with the registration of the CMI of São Carlos. Methodology: descriptive documentary, retrospective, qualitative and quantitative. The documents and records of the CMI at São Carlos-SP will be checked. For this you will use a script field to record information. Check items will be on the record that CMI uses and its contents, as well as the characteristics of the registered organizations. This work is linked to the regular research project titled "Linking Knowledge and Experiences in Gerontology", supported by FAPESP- 2012/11030-5 process number. Expected Results: To identify the organizations registered with the Municipal Council of the Elderly of São Carlos, as well as rate those characterized primarily by senior care fragile and identify if there is a tendency of the services offered in the city are more targeted to the care of the elderly frail or not.
