Abstract

This research project aims to contribute to the unfolding of the research "Technical and theoretical knowledge about the city, between Europe and the Americas: professionals, ideas, and techniques in the consolidation of an urban culture in São Paulo", originally entered in FAPESP Thematic Project entitled "Knowledge scholarly and technical configuration and reconfiguration of urban space: the state of São Paulo, nineteenth and twentieth centuries" (2006-2011).The specific objective is to continue to "Trials Cataloging" adopted as a strategy by the research team of professors from UNESP-Bauru, who was part of the Thematic Project above, having as its object of study the performance of the botanist Frederico Carlos Hoehne, particularly his study of species 'indigenous' (native) for urban forestry.
