Abstract The study aims to examine the intrinsic relationship between territory, culture and identity, emphasizing the symbolic character of the territory. We will present various views on these themes central to better understanding of the dynamics between them and the formation of territorial identities. From this theoretical assumption, migration processes will be investigated by the Gauchos Brazilian territory, analyzing the maintenance of their identity values. With this, we intend to establish a relationship between migration and maintenance of territorial identities. The analytical bias contemplate the process of deterritorialization-reterritorialization of the gauchos, prioritizing the spatial area in the northern state of Paraná, where they will be investigated social relationships that occur from the maintenance of traditionalism gaucho, materialized in the form of Gaucho Traditions and Centers affiliations in the Gaucho Traditionalist Movement. Through literature research and documentary; fieldwork and interviews, the work will provide novel elements to the analysis of network Gaucho Paraná, thus contributing to a further deepening of this dynamic in the northern state.
