Abstract

Teachers and other education professionals have shown a gap in their education with regard to the themes involving sexuality and sex education. One way to meet this need is through the use of New Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) that support virtual learning communities and provide resources and tools that can help to remedy / mitigate the difficulty of training. This research aims to analyze and understand through documentation and through interviews, the form and content developed in distance learning courses with classroom moments, training of teachers and education professionals in the area of sexuality, making verification of how these courses were developed and implemented (actually used); the identification of its peculiarities, goals and aspects that were worked on each of them; analysis of how the institution interprets the results obtained; discussion of the relevance of the form and content of the course. It could be observed that such training does not exclude the need to have basic training in own graduation, with subjects that address subjects related to human sexuality, sexual diversity, gender. All courses paid attention in intertwining themes with the school, the curriculum and the NCP, which facilitates the work in the classroom, approaches the practice and makes teachers, and other professionals know working with their students the theme of sexuality in its various forms and across. These training initiatives in sexuality and sex education, have in fact contributed to disseminate this content in different Brazilian states, however, are still initiatives that sometimes suffer from a lack of continuity and follow-up. The courses were designed analyzed from the perspective of the technologies when used for education can help teachers and education professionals have the training, both initial and continuing with regard to sexuality and sex education.
