Abstract

Ferroelectric materials exhibit, in a limited temperature range, spontaneous, permanent and re-orientable polarization. The BaTiO3 is one of the most studied due to its naturally ferroelectric property at room temperature, which assigns a range of technological applications in various areas. In this work, it is proposed an evaluation of the electrical/dielectric behavior of BaTiO3 as a function of partial replacement of network-forming Ti/Zr, which generates the compound Ba(ZrxTi1-x)O3 (BZT). For synthesis of this ceramic compound is proposed the use of microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. The electrical properties must be evaluated in the ceramic powder thick films deposited by electrophoretic method. Besides the electrical behavior, structural, morphological and thermal characteristics of the compound should be accompanied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and differential thermal analysis, respectively.
