Abstract

This study will analyze the technical and poetic operations used by artists to establish relationships between videoart and its physical spaces of instauration from studies of stratified sampling of collections from the following research projects: The relationship of the image in visual arts: mapping of image production in paraense contemporary art (CNPq/2005 - 2010) and Pathways of image in contemporary art and its developments (Paraense Amazon Foundation research support/2011 - current), organized previously in scientific initiation research, and from the collection of Contemporary Art Festival of Cultural Association Videobrasil from productions realized between 1990 and 2013. We will use the hypothetical-deductive method of approach and the typological method of procedure. We rised the hypothesis that video comprises two large spatialization operation which are directly related to the physical size of the video exposed in the space. The first operation we call micro-spatialization and its related to video in small dimensions related to space and the public, unfolding in modes of spatialization, namely: 1) space-video; 2) space-device; 3) distension-video. We call macro-spatializations the second operation, unfolding in modes of spatialization named: 1) cinema-situation; 2) ccenario-video; 3) dilatation-video. For purposes of analysis we use mainly the studies of these authors: Henri Bergson (1939), Jacques Aumont (1993), Cláudia Gianetti (2006), Margareth Werthein (2001), Philippe Dubois (2004) e Arlindo Machado (1997).
