Abstract

The arguments presented by the literature in regarding individual amendments have analyzed, to this moment, whether those amendments would be or would not be used by the executive in exchange of parliamentary voting support. This project aims to introduce in the literature a new perspective in respect of individual amendments, as a way of contributing to the functioning of coalition presidentialism. Through the use of empirical analysis we expect to track to which ministries of the government the politicians address their amendments, if they follow or not a partisan logic and if, finally, they are used as exchange of support to the policies developed by the ministries.
