Abstract

The aim of this research is to assess the pozzolanic reactivity of sugar cane bagasse ash though pH and electrical conductivity measurements of lime:pozzolan suspensions. Different proportion of lime:CBC (2:8; 2,5:7,5; 3:7; 3,5:6,5; 4:6; 4,5:5,5) will be assessed, where suspensions are monitored though pH and electrical conductivity measurements during 7 days. It allows to quantify the maximum calcium hydroxide consumption. The temperature of test, a variable that affects the reaction rate will also be assessed (40, 50 and 60ºC). With all the parameters, a classification for CBC will be performed using the method proposed by Tashima et al.
