Abstract

This research aims to investigate how sound media are present in the contact of people with special visual needs with the media. Therefore, you want to investigate different radio initiatives in Portugal and Spain, notably broadcasters and / or directed programs and / or submitted by blind and in which it is observed a specialized tender from the point of view of production and thematic approaches. With this study, we seek to understand how the special condition of speakers operates in the message configuration as the compositional form, the stylistic choices and the theme. In addition, the study aims to contribute to the discussion about accessibility, media production and democratization of information, in view of the current scenario of gradual involvement, thanks to new technologies inclusive of diverse social groups before relegated to the role of mere recipients.
