Abstract

Poison dart frogs of the superfamily Dendrobatoidea are one of the groups less studied in relation to the evolution of its larval stages. Tadpoles represent a life stage with specific adaptations to the aquatic environment and also contain much relevant information to the comprehension of the phylogeny of the group. In this proposal, the aim is to study the evolution of larval characters of Colombian dendrobatids, one of the countries with the greatest diversity of poison frogs in the world, and also adjacent areas.
