In recent years, biomaterials on the nanometer length scale have been used at the bone-implant interface for osseointegration. The purpose of this study is to evaluate in rats the effect of titania nanotubes associated fibrin adhesive / tranexamic acid on the osseointegration of C.P. Ti implants installed without primary stability. For the synthesis of titanium nanotubes the alkaline route will be used and their morphology will be analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). We will be made 32 Commercially pure (c.p.) titanium implants Grade 4 which will be divided (n = 8) in Group I (Control), Group II (Titania nanotubes), Group III (Fibrin Adhesive/Tranexamic Acid) and Group IV (Titania Nanotubes/Fibrin Adhesive/Tranexamic Acid). The implants will be identified, individually packaged and sterilized by gamma irradiation and they will be implanted in the right tibia of 32 rats (250 grams), which will be anesthetized (xylazine / ketamine) and shaved on their right hind legs. After incision, divulsion, access to the bone site and drilling with bone milling under irrigation with saline, the implants will be placed following the group to which they belong. Following suture will be held (4.0 thread). The animals will be euthanized at 60 days postoperatively. The pieces will be processed in MMA (Stevenel's blue / Alizarin red S) for histomorphometric analysis.
