The choice of polymer as substrate is according to the graphene application, respecting with temperatures, transparency and mechanical properties. A previous study of polymer should be used which should be carried out, mainly as regards the glass transition temperature (Tg), melting temperature, crystallinity, molecular weight, solubility to various solvents and mechanical strength (tension curves versus deformation at the temperature of use of the material). Not least, a systematic study should be conducted to evaluate the possible degradation suffered by the polymeric substrate during the process of Cu removed. This assessment should be focused on the mass change of molar after obtaining graphene process. Exclusion Chromatography assays by Size (Size Exclusion Chromatography - SEC) will be performed before and after the process of obtaining the graphene films. This project will evaluate poly (methyl methacrylate) - PMMA polymer as a substrate for production of graphene films by the method of "Chemical Vapor Deposition CVD. (AU)
