Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the consequences of the housing estate Minha Casa Minha Vida , materialized in the daily life of the lived on a housing estate implemented under this program in the outskirts of Presidente Prudente and São Carlos. From the interviews with residents of field observations and information provided by the Ministry of Cities and the research ( in progress) about the MCMV , including in the range of Gasperr ( Research Group to which we belong ) , we intend to identify the changes / continuity of spatial practices these residents occurred after moving to these areas . Assuming that home exercises its mediation role in building public/ urban consumers, is expected to contribute to the understanding of the role and the meaning of home , taking into account both its objective dimension, as the subjective .
