Abstract

Aiming to implement new pedagogical models in issues of citizenship, using collaborative spaces and technology in teachers' education, the main objective of this research project is to assess how the use of active learning methodologies, such as Learning Problems and Projects (ABPP) and the Design Thinking (DT), coupled with the use of tools and methodologies such as the Fishbowl, can have on learning and teachers and students engagement when solving school and community issues related to citizenship.Data collection will happen with students from the major of Sciences and Mathematics Teacher's formation of the Virtual University of São Paulo (UNIVESP). We will work with 15 groups of 6 students (90 students), chosen randomly among the 350 existing groups., seeking to reconcile geographical variations location of groups in different cities and in different socio-economic contexts. Overall, the methodological proposal is to follow the entire development process of the research projects of each group for four months, from the initial class of the semester until the end of it, when they present orally and produce a scientific report with the description and analysis of the work and prototypes created to solve and address the problem studied by the group.
