Abstract

Introduction: Obesity is a chronic disease of increasing prevalence, being currently considered a global epidemic. Investigations on the transdifferentiation process of adipose tissue have been taking increasing proportions as a therapeutic potential of brown adipocytes for induction into increased body energy expenditure, and possible benefit for the reduction of body mass, and consequently control of obesity and associated comorbidities. It is known that regular physical exercise and fitness healthy eating strategies seem to be increasingly studied and recommended. In addition, therapies that can complement the effect of exercise and diet for reducing body weight are considerate important strategies. Thus, experimental evidence shows that the use of laser therapy combined with exercise swimming was effective in controlling the lipid profile, reducing the mass of adipose tissue, suggesting increased metabolic activity and changes in lipid metabolism.Objective: To investigate the effects of therapeutic laser on modulation responses of adipogenesis process and thermogenesis associated with the combined physical exercise, aimed the weight loss and improves in the metabolic profile in obese women.Methodology: The study population will consist of women´s aged 20-40 years with a body mass index (BMI) e 30 kg/m² and less than 40kg/m², obese primary, which will be divided into 2 groups of interventions. Body composition, blood collection and clinical, nutritional and lifestyle will be evaluated. The study protocol will consist of combined physical exercise sessions and concurrent application of phototherapy during 20 weeks.
