Abstract

The scientific, technological and organizational developments have contributed to the global increase in the number of transplants of organs and tissues allowing many people can benefit from this therapy. However , the insufficient number of donors to meet the growing demand of patients on waiting lists has become the biggest obstacle to performing this procedure . The shortage of organs reflects not only a shortage of potential donors , but also , and mainly , failure in the donation of organs and tissues , as evidenced by reduced conversion of potential donors to actual donors. Several factors contribute to non- execution of the grant , however , the family interview when performed improperly is cited as the main reason . The family interview is defined as a meeting between the family of the potential donor and one or more professional staff to capture, or other trained professional in order to inform those relatives about the possibility of giving. The interview process involves complex aspects regarding , cool technical dimension , politics and ethics . The ethical dimension encompasses , among others , issues related to autonomy , beneficence , non-maleficence , justice, and , veracity , privacy , confidentiality , loyalty , virtues , among others . The discussion involving the consent for donation is one of the fundamental pillars of bioethical study of organ transplants . The objective of this work is to analyze the process of family interview with a focus on bioethics principialist , virtue and care and from this analysis , underpin the curriculum of the training coordinator in-hospital donation of organs and tissues for Have transplant ethics in donation and transplantation as one of its guidelines as established by Ordinance 1262 GM of June 16, 2006 .
