Abstract Commonly, teenagers have a high frequency of behavioral problems, and consequent difficulties with their health and interpersonal relationships. The literature shows positive relationships between behavior problems and alcohol and other substances and negative relationship between behavioral problems and low social skills, even though the latter relationship has been widely investigated in children over the teenager. However, the investigation of two variables, use of alcohol and other relatively substances and social skills, have not been investigated together in adolescents with and without behavior problems. In this context, the objective of this research is to describe and compare social skills and use of alcohol and other substances in adolescents with and without behavior problems. Participate in the survey, 30 adolescents and 30 smoothly behaviors selected by the Self-Assessment Inventory Teen-YSR (Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001). The other evaluation tools will be the Drug Use Screening Inventory (DUSI) and the IHSA-DEL Prette. The application of instruments will be collectively in public schools. The data will be analyzed by statistical software SPSS version 22 and results will be organized in tables. Possibly, the data from this research can specify the scientific knowledge and to enable the future, to propose interventions in the adolescent population. | |
