Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max L.) is an oilseed plant that stands out for being one of the main agricultural crops of the world, being the main generator of Brazilian currency. Based on the relevance of soy in the world context, it is important to consider the future projections of production of this oilseed in the international debate on climate change and forecast of the global population increase from 2 billion people by the year 2050. Thus, it is intended assess the impact of climate change on growth and development of the Brazilian soybean crop using a mechanistic model based on biophysical processes. For the calibration model will be used experimentally obtained data and through the scientific literature. Since the simulation of climate change scenarios will be based on the AgMIP international project approach. It is intended to work with at least three models of global climate circulation (GCM's) regionalized and two emission scenarios for each (CPR 4.5 (G) and CPR 8.5 (I)). Search It will cover an area representing at least 80% of the soybean production in Brazil for the period 2040-2069 (representing 2050). At the end of the project, we intend to contribute to the future of soybean production debate, considering the context of global climate change, and the growth models study of crops in Brazil.
